ComSafe Facilitated Evacuation Drill
Overview
The best defence in an emergency situation is well trained people. A well rehearsed and practiced Evacuation Drill can save lives. Our practical Evacuation Drill is designed to test and validate Emergency Procedures, not just fire. Our trainers will support Chief Warden to build confidence in their role. The purpose of an Evacuation Drill is to assist personnel to know thier roles and responsibilities in an emerency situation in accordance with the workplace plan and procedures, and to test the workforce response to an emergency.
ComSafe can assist organisations meet their requirements to complete at least one Evacuation Drill every 12 months in accordance with Australian Standards 3745-2010, Planning for emergencies in facilities and AS 4083-2010, Planning for emergencies in Health Care facilities.
At the conclusion of the drill, a quick debrief will be conducted by the trainer and any recommendations can be used for your own Evacuation Drills.
- Workplace emergency response plan and procedure familiarisation
- Identify required roles of workplace personnel
- Discuss outcomes of simulated evacuation
- Suggested improvements to the plan and procedure
