About ComSafe Training Services

ComSafe Training Services is the commercial training division of Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) and is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 91235), specialising in comprehensive, compliant workplace emergency response (WER) and high risk technical training.

Additional services include; consultation, emergency and rescue standby personnel as well as film, events and media services.

ComSafe strives to work closely with our clients in the delivery of FRNSW strategy to ‘increase the community’s preparedness and resilience to save life and protect property and the environment from fires, emergencies and disasters by promoting a preventative culture.’

We work with our clients in their workplace to achieve compliance with Work Health and Safety legislative requirements and ultimately prepare their staff to confidently handle an emergency situation. Our courses are designed in accordance with relevant Training Packages, WHS legislation, Australian Standards 3745-2010 and 4083-2010 as well as NSW Health Policy Directives.

What Do We Do?

ComSafe provides training in a practical environment by combining simulated emergency scenarios with the highest quality of instruction delivered by Fire and Rescue NSW professional Firefighters specifically trained and equipped to deliver contextualised training.

Training can be conducted onsite for your convenience or at ComSafe HQ, our purpose built training facility in Orchard Hills NSW that is equipped with training rooms and training props to enhance your experience.

We have prepared programs to suit all types of workplaces and we can tailor programs for your workplace so you too can be prepared to deal with an emergency if ever faced with one.

Emergency+ Smart Phone Application

Important – if there is no mobile coverage on any network, you will not be able to reach the Emergency Call Service via a mobile telephone.

Emergency+ is a free application developed by Australia’s emergency services and industry partners. The application works across Australia, using GPS functionality built into smartphones to help a Triple Zero (000) caller provide critical location details required to mobilise emergency services. First launched in 2013, the application has been downloaded more than 2.2 million times and has provided assistance to people facing an emergency.

Location accuracy is critical information for Triple Zero (000) call takers. The quicker an accurate location is established, the sooner emergency services can be dispatched and render assistance. With the vast majority of Triple Zero (000) calls originating from mobile telephones today, the Emergency+ application is a vital Government initiative to improve public safety and emergency service response times.
