In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation, all occupants/employees must receive training in their workplace to enable them to act in accordance with the facility’s Emergency Plan. This eLearning short course has been designed as a refresher course only. All occupants across all industries and workplaces should complete General Occupant training to stay current in legislation, policies and local procedures. This course does not replace the need for practical fire extinguisher face-to-face training.
This program is designed to equip the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) members with the knowledge and skills required to effectively perform the duties and safely evacuate the workplace in the event of an emergency, enhancing skills in risk assessment, emergency prevention, preparedness, and recovery. It covers aspects of the Chief Warden/Emergency Coordinator through to the ECO Wardens, including the roles of the Deputy Chief Warden and Communications Officer.
