Course DescriptionThis nationally accredited course has been developed to cover the broad range of emergencies and workplaces as considered in Australian Standard 3745 – 2010. The course is designed for persons who could be required to make decisions about people’s safety during a workplace emergency and to give instructions in priority order for responding to the emergency incident area. People who undertake this work may act as a primary liaison with emergency services after their arrival. The Unit of Competency covered is: PUAWER006B and is part of the workplace evacuation stream. CertificationThis is an accredited training course and as such there are written and practical assessments. Upon successful completion, a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment will be awarded within the AQTF and under the authority of the NSW Vocational Educational & Training Act. Pre-Course RequisitesPUAWER005B Operate as Part of An Emergency Control Organisation must be completed prior to commencement of this unit/course. Course OverviewThis is a competency based course, practical skills need to be achieved after classroom presentation; competencies of skills will need to be demonstrated.
